- Fastest pass ever on the thrid time trial - 10.894
- Slight change in routine - reaction times improved
- Transbrake failure in first round loss
- Footbrake wins until the quarter-finals (bye run unused - win here would have given the bye into the
final - oh well)
- Transbrake issue confirmed with Art Carr Performance Products - upgrade pending (excellent customer
service)
July 31 - Cedar Falls Raceway # 8
- Night of Fire - great show - good track
- 1st Round loss to the Red Light Demon
- Buy Back round win
- 3rd round loss partly due to tire spin
July 24 - Cedar Falls Raceway #7
- Torque converter re-stalled - consistently in the 10.90s!!!
- 1st Round loss (to an 8.72 car)
- Buy back win
- Third round loss (to an 8.76 car)
- Lights a little slow, but no *reds*
- First indication of transbrake problem
July 3 - Cedar Falls Raceway #5 - Rained out
June 19 - Cedar Falls Raceway
- First round win
- Red light demon strikes again in second round
- Car still performing well; trying to calm the launch down a bit
June 12 - Pittsburgh Raceway Park
- First chance ever to race with my brother
- Won two rounds, .490 red in the third round
- Car consistent with several 11.10 passes
June 5 - Cedar Falls Points Race #3 rained out
May 22: Cedar Falls Raceway - Points Race #2
- First round win
- Second round loss (break-out) to Mike Wepler, last year's class champ
and current leader; a win here would have put me first in the points (oh well...get him next time)
- RTs were *very* consistent for the day (.523-.532)
May 14-16: World Ford Challenge 7 - St. Louis, MO
- This was a different style of racing for us, but alot of fun.
- Open Comp, Pro Tree
- Qualified 26th in a field of 54
- Won first round; break-out loss second round
- Best pass: .087 RT/11.017 ET/122 MPH
May 8: Cedar Falls Raceway - Points Race #1
- Semi-final finish
- .494 Red light loss
- Best pass .516 RT/11.10 ET/119 MPH
May 1: Cedar Falls Raceway - May Day Team and Trophy Races
- I won my very first trophy! (usually race for cash and glory)
- Team race didn't go as well, but it was a great way to get ready for the season.
